The Fault in Our Stars - John Green | Book Review

10:00 AM

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

The Faults in Our Stars is such a heart-wrenching story! It follows Hazel and her journey with cancer. Hazel doesn't want to be involved with anyone, she doesn't want friends, she doesn't want a partner, she just wants to keeps to herself. Hazel decides since she's fighting cancer and on her way to an early death, she doesn't want to burden anybody one else with the pain of dying. However, while attending a cancer support group Hazel meets Augustus and it's a beautiful relationship that blossoms.

Hazel's friendship with Gus changes how she feels about dying without living her life to the fullest and loving anyone other than her family. But she still struggles with leaving her family and her new found friends heartbroken when her time is up.

I thought the story was beautiful, it was written beautifully, and I cried and laughed so much.
