When two soldiers from opposite sides of a never-ending galactic war fall in love, they risk everything to bring a fragile new life into a dangerous old universe.

From New York Times bestselling writer Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina) and critically acclaimed artist Fiona Staples (Mystery Society, North 40), Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the worlds. Fantasy and science fiction are wed like never before in this sexy, subversive drama for adults.

This specially priced volume collects the first six issues of the smash-hit series The Onion A.V. Club calls "the emotional epic Hollywood wishes it could make."

This is an adult graphic novel. It includes explicit content and bloody fighting scenes.

I don't read many graphic novels and I don't read too much fantasy but this makes me want to pick up more of them. I couldn't put this book down and when I did I just wanted to know what else was going to happen.

This is a graphic novel about a family trying to survive and escape from soldiers who want them dead. These love birds are from opposite sides of the war. One was in prison and the other a guard who both made a run for it ... together. With a newborn, the new family is fighting to survive from freelancers that are hired to kill them and bring their baby to them.

Definitely a quick read but you don't want it to end. It was so unique and I just couldn't believe I was enjoying this fantasy graphic novel so much since I've always had a difficult time the fantasy genre, however, I do love sci-fi. I'm so happy I picked this up.

I recommend this to everyone, especially to those who already love graphic novels, fantasy, and sci-fi.

I gave this 5/5 stars and will be picking up the rest of the series.
