Bout of Books 11.0 | Wrap Up

11:21 AM
I guess we have to talk about how I did for the Bout of Books 11.0. In one word, bad. Just kidding-ish. I didn't do well, I wanted the Bout of Books 11.0 read-a-thon to pick my reading back up for this month since I haven't read much but it didn't help at all. I just wanted to watch TV when I wasn't working or spend time with people this month and that's what I basically did.

That's why in total so far, for this month, I've only completed two entire books, finished half a book and started another and I'm half way through that one. So, basically four books. In comparison to what I've been reading in the last couple of months.

Back to the Bout of Books wrap up though, I completed one book and started another:

Where the Heart is - Billie Letts

and I started Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Compared to what I wanted to read and finish within the week of the read-a-thon. Check here to view my post listing what I wanted to read during the read-a-thon.

Where the Heart Is just took me so long to get through. I feel like it's a book you can't just race through. The story is heartfelt and emotional, you need to take your time to read it.

Well, there you have it. My fail of a read-a-thon participation... Maybe I'll have better luck next time. I've said this before, I don't think I'm very good at read-a-thons. I usually bomb them.

How did you do during the read-a-thon if you participated?? Better than me, I bet.

Thanks for reading!
